Fall Break | November 23 – 29

Pre-order a Fall Break Bundle through Grubhub to pick up from STACKS in the Atrium (J) building at the Marietta Campus through Thursday, November 19.

  • The Housing offices will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday, November 23 through Wednesday, November 25. Offices will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27.
  • Monday, November 23 | Closed
    Tuesday, November 24 & Wednesday, November 25 | Open 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    Thursday, November 26 – Sunday, November 29 | Closed
  • The Market will be closed Saturday, November 21 through Sunday, November 29.
  • There will be no Big Owl Bus shuttle service from Sunday, November 22 to Sunday, November 29. Shuttle service will resume on November 30.
  • All clinics close at noon on Wednesday, November 25 and return to a regular schedule on Monday, November 30. A Student Health Services on-call provider is available for non-emergency phone triage after hours through the clinic phone number at 470-578-6644
  • Talon Express will be closed Saturday, November 21 through Sunday, November 29.
  • The Talon One Service Centers will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday, November 23 through Wednesday, November 25. Talon One will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27.
  • All on-campus dining locations will be closed Saturday, November 21 through Sunday, November 29.

Online Learning Period Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, we encourage you to remain on campus during the online learning period. While you have the option to complete your classes from anywhere, the residence halls will be open, along with support services like Dining, the KSU bookstore, Talon One Service Center, Student Health Services Clinics and more.
  • No, since students can take full advantage of their License Agreement by staying in their on-campus room assignments throughout the online learning period, Housing and Residence Life is not offering refunds to students who choose to go home during this time.
  • Yes, Housing and Residence Life has on-call student and professional staff 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For a list of on-call phone numbers, please visit this website.  
  • Yes. Please see the hours of operation listed above.
  • In August, University Dining adjusted the Fall 2020 Meal Plans for residential students who have between 0 and 59 credit hours to allow them the flexibility to use their meals throughout the semester instead of on a weekly basis. The new plans were offered at a reduced rate and included additional Dining Dollars that carry over from the fall to spring semester. The plans allowed for an average of 12 entries to the dining halls across a 14-week semester rather than the usual 16 weeks. Since dining is open during the online learning period, Commuter Meal Plans are optional, and because of the adjustment and $200 reduction to the underclassmen Residential Meal Plans, University Dining is not providing refunds.  
  • Campus Postal Services holds letter mail for ten (10) days then it is returned to the sender. Residential students should to go to the USPS website and complete a change of address form if they are going home for an extended period.
  • Yes, Flex Parking will be in effect starting at 5:00 PM on Friday, November 20 through 7:00 AM on Monday, January 11. Flex Parking allows KSU students and employees with a valid KSU parking permit to utilize any available commuter parking area on campus during designated flex parking hours. 
  • Textbook rentals must be returned by December 18, 2020, or the student will be charged. Textbooks can be returned any time before the deadline either in-store or by mail.

    To mail back your textbook rentals, pack your textbooks securely and include your contact information inside the package (name, phone number and email). Ship via a traceable method (UPS, FedEx, etc.) with a post-mark by December 18, 2020, to:

  • Yes, University Stores buys books year-round in-store or you can sell them back online.
